I am a self-taught metal smith. Every day presents new learning experiences for me. Our work is juried in all shops of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen, the prestigious organization that hosts the oldest crafts fair in America. My background in art started in college and took me to places in the world that have shaped my life and influenced my design ideas. In my twenties, I traveled to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, to study at the Belles Artes, a national art school in the old colonial city. And in my thirties, I moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico to apprentice at the Shidoni Foundry, a sculpture foundry in the foothills outside of Santa Fe. I lived and worked there for ten years. The influences of the wide open skies and spectacular sunsets still live in me every day in both my dreams and my work.
